What dangers do runaway demigods Luke and Thalia face on their way to Camp Half-Blood? Are Percy and Annabeth up to the task of rescuing stolen goods from a fire-breathing giant who doesn't take kindly to intruders? How exactly are Leo, Piper, and Jason supposed to find a runaway table, dodge a band of party-loving Maenads" ("who just might be a little psychotic), and stave off a massive explosion...all in one hour or less?  With his trademark wit and creativity, Rick Riordan answers these questions and more in three never-before-seen short stories that provide vital back-story to the Heroes of Olympus and Percy Jackson books. Original art, enlightening character interviews and profiles, puzzles, and a quiz add to the fun in this action-packed collection.

I was really excited when I got this on my hold. Consider it as a startup before Mark of Athena (sold out everywhere people, I'm still on the waiting list, gah --). This book is a whole lot of fun; the tiny grip feeling on your hand, the quizzes, and the illustrations. I love it. Ok now I'm reviewing it separately, story to story. Enjoy!

The Diary of Luke Castellan
I love this part. It's deep, dark and you get some insight into Luke's mind. I was very upset when he died, but I'm glad Riordan sort of 'brought him back to life' with this little story written by his point-of-view. It's good to be back in the good old days. This part basically tells us how Thalia and Luke met (which we're aware of), their journey long before Luke's 'betrayal' and also long before they met little Annabeth. It's good to see the another side of Luke which Riordan didn't spoil much when he was fighting with the Romans. I miss Luke.

Percy Jackson and the Staff of Hermes
Finally, we get back into Percy's mind! You have no idea how I miss that. This part is fun; we get to see another fun-flirtatious also adventurous relationship between Percabeth (Seaweed Brain! lol). Also, (spoiler alert) we get to see the Laser Mode (go George and Martha!) and Percabeth goes to Paris! Fun!

Leo Valdez and the Quest for Buford
This is the most intriguing and hillarious part of all. You know how I always love Leo; he's smart, charming, funny and loyal. And you also have no idea how much I fall in love with Leo-Jason-Piper more than Percy-Annabeth, how I've been missing them since The Lost Hero. It's fun to see Leo in action again, as well as Jason and Piper's over-concerns towards Leo -lol. And man, those Maenads are crazy! And a walking table? Completely messed up in hillarious way! Such a refreshment.

Son of Magic (written by Haley Riordan)
One surely knows how to write and yes, the gene is a match. I have no idea how an ADHD and a Dyslexic could write this good. He has this deep, grown  and thoughtful writing, completely different from his dad. And how he connects words per words into one compelling story, that's a talent right there boy! I was completely drown with enlightments; you have no idea how curious I was (long before this book spoils all out) about how does the mist work and how monsters can sense demigods. Thank you for putting such a great pieces on your writing man, and I'd love to see more from Claymone and Alabaster in Mark of Athena. So good!

Bottom line, Demigod Diaries is one intriguing read though I can't tell it's good enough to make you drown into your stuffed pillow and comfortable seats. It's not as complete as the series themselves, but it's quite a top. Do I recommend you to read it? Well, to prove your loyalty to Riordan's sickness made-up world of the prophecy of the sevens, then yes
